Wrecked EMD F7A. July, 1957 at Radnor Shops

 

Lead unit of Memphis bound freight which collided with Dixieland at crossing diamond. Six passengers and the engineer were killed in this wreck. Another 60 passengers were injured. Miraculously, the fireman, who was sitting on the throne at the time, survived. Loss of equipment caused termination of the train after 1957. Wreck occurred in Guthrie, KY.
